How would you describe your business idea to a potential investor (who is not an expert in your particular profession)?
Legit.Health is the Revolutionary Clinical Data and Communication tool for Next-gen dermatologist that triples the empowerment of patients, achieving the adherence to treatments by enhance their autonomy and motivating them to actively manage their own health having a greater control of their disease. Legit.Health uses computer vision and AI technology to assist dermatologists by introducing detailed and objective monitoring into the skin diagnosis and follow-up process, allowing the evaluation of 232 skin pathologies through images and automating the monitoring through automatic filling of scoring systems with up to 93% clinically validated accuracy.
What problem do you want to solve, what is your goal?
Due to the difficulty of accessing specialized care, influenced by the shortage of dermatologist per capita, among other factors, patients are seen by primary care providers. This not only results in an increase of time to diagnosis, but this also causes the misdiagnosis of common skin conditions. In consequence, patients suffer from their skin condition for years until they are referred to a dermatologist.
Moreover, as a result of dermatologist workload, visitations are very spaced in time, leading to an inadequate monitoring and loss of relevant clinical data related to patients’ evolution or treatment effectiveness. Additionally, either a lack of effective communication with patients or occasionally communication are perceived as abandonment or absence of accompanying.

Legit.Health enables more objective and aligned comparisons, and provides patients the power to report and share information about their disease and overall well-being. This, in turn, makes the consultation process more efficient, by establishing a platform where doctors and patients have relevant images and patient data gathered in one place.
How did you come up with your idea/concept?
The idea of Legit.Health, unlike most start-ups, was conceived before the technology, not the other way around. All four of the founders of the company have faced skin conditions in their lives. We know first-hand the hardships the patients must endure and have seen the problems doctors have to overcome when dealing with these diseases. That’s why we decided to build a tool that would help doctors help people like us.
What is your business model?
We are a B2B SaaS, we license the software with a price that depends on the number of active patients using the tool and time. We have three types of clients.
2. For pharmaceutical companies, through the tool, they can extract information about the different treatments recommended by medical centres. It is also an R&D tool since it allows them to evaluate the efficacy of treatments. And it positions the company as a pioneer in the use of dermatological technologies.
Where can your scale-up be used?
Legit.Health can be used in any clinical context. From aiding in the day-to-day diagnosis of primary care doctors to giving specialist access to the consolidated second opinion of the best dermatologists in the field, to monitor and accompany the patient, to provide medical care remotely or in person. To automatically measure the severity of the pathology and measure the effectiveness of treatments.
Our tool can also be used to streamline and facilitate clinical trials, can be implemented as a prevention tool and will help manage the triage process in medical centres.
